PASS QUEST 2X CHAINRING

  • Important Notes:
  • FC5800/FC6800(Four claws without arc)
FC-R7000/FC-R8000 FC-R9100(There's an arc in the upper right corner)
FC-R7100/FC-R8100 FC-R9200(There are a total of two curved sections: one in the upper-right corner and one in the lower-right corner)
  • The chainring is made of a whole aluminum plate by CNC milling, which is thinned and chamfered toensure strength while reducing the weight by morethan 10g compared with the previous series. The POdouble-speed gearbox has smooth speed changes, effortless climbing, strong sprinting, outstandingcompetitive advantages, and is suitable for variousroad conditions, effectively improving the ridingexperience ofriders.
  • Smooth Shifting: We conducted over 30 experiments—patiently refining the tooth profile, the placement of the up-shift pins, and the orientation of the down-shift ramps—ultimately earning the seal of approval from numerous expert testers.
  • Competition-Grade Rigidity: Featuring a completely solid, one-piece molded construction, it eliminates deformation and power loss—born for pure power, making your long-distance rides significantly more effortless.
  • Ensuring its lightweight performance remains far ahead of the competition, this chainring features a uniquely shaped pin design to deliver exceptional chain-catching capabilities, thereby significantly boosting shifting efficiency.
  • The double chainrings are designed well. Do not mix different brands and different gear numbers. Smooth speed change cannot be guaranteed.
All PASS QUEST double chainring must be used as pass quest original pair set. Mix with other brand chainring will not work.
  • Alignment Mark: The chainring spider features an alignment point; during installation, this point should be positioned directly behind the crank arm.
  • The bolts are precision-machined from a single block of AL7075-T651 alloy via CNC processing. These are 9mm extended bolts designed for double chainrings, effectively preventing loosening and minimizing unwanted noise.
  • Locking torque: 6-8 N·M

  •

Excessive torque may damage the screw.

  • Installation Instructions:
    1. Position the large chainring pin directly beneath the crank arm.
    2. Align the positioning point on the small chainring directly beneath the crank arm.
    3. Align the countersunk holes with the chainring bolts to complete the installation.

Which size of an oval should I choose

We always recommend swapping like for like, so if you have a 32T round ring at the moment, you should consider getting a 32T oval. The same applies to our shiftable road ovals, we recommend that you purchase ovals with the same teeth count as your round rings.

How to calculate gear inches for an oval chainring

Exactly same way as for round chainring. You just need to use the nominal size in the calculation of an oval ring you have. That is, if you buy 32T oval you use for calculation 32T size. Reason for this is 32T oval chainring has same circumference as the 32T round. We optimize the shape but not circumference - it stays constant. Distance between each teeth always has to remain at 12.7mm to engage the chain properly. You can use any online calculator to get gear inches for an oval chainring.
